We know our Group Leaders personally and select them for their reliability, language skills and educational abilities. On group trips they accompany students from departure to return, support daily life and are the point of contact for students and families. On individual stays, support is provided by the centre’s staff according to the chosen programme.

Imagine1world stays in regular contact with local staff. Depending on the centre, the team includes management, an academic director, a Welfare Manager, teachers and activity leaders. On group stays they work with the Group Leader to support lessons, activities and everyday needs. Practical contact details are provided before departure.

When needed, staff help students access local medical services and the assistance provided by the programme’s insurer. Before departure, read the policy terms and keep the emergency contacts and policy number to hand. Covered services and reimbursement procedures are those specified in the insurance documents.

Use the enrolment form to report allergies, dietary requirements and relevant health information. If a need may affect your choice of centre or accommodation, contact us before booking: we will check with our partners whether it can be accommodated and whether additional services are needed. Do not wait until arrival to tell us.

We work with schools, colleges and centres known first-hand by our staff. We assess teaching quality, organisation, surroundings and services. Campuses may offer green spaces, sports facilities and common areas; city language schools have different features. Each destination page includes photos and descriptions of the facilities actually available.

• Destinations

Accommodation varies by centre: single, twin or shared rooms, with private bathrooms or shared facilities on the corridor. At residential campuses, classrooms, dining rooms and activity spaces are generally close to accommodation; boys and girls normally stay in separate areas. Check the destination page for the arrangement offered and tell us about any preferences before enrolment.

• Destinations

Some programmes offer host families selected and checked by local partners, taking account of the needs reported at enrolment. Rooms may be single or shared with students of a similar age, including other nationalities. Availability depends on the centre and dates: stating a preference does not confirm the accommodation.

On the agency’s host-family programmes, breakfast and dinner are normally eaten at home and lunch is arranged by the school. Check the exact meal plan for your chosen stay. Public transport may be needed to reach lessons: the family and local staff provide directions; check your quote to see whether a travel pass is included.

The school provides an initial test, online or in person, which may include written and spoken tasks. The result places each student in a group suited to their level. Classes are generally international; class sizes and available levels depend on the school. For complete beginners, we check suitable dates and courses together.

Imagine1world works with schools recognised by the relevant sector associations in their countries and teachers qualified to teach international students, coordinated by academic management. Lesson hours vary by programme: check whether the figure on the destination page refers to one week or the whole stay. Language schools may offer courses at different intensities.

• Destinations

A certificate of attendance is normally issued at the end of the course. Ask your school which documents it accepts for any academic credit. If you are interested in an exam such as IELTS, Trinity or Cambridge, tell us before enrolment: availability, preparation, dates and fees must be agreed with the centre. The exam is not automatically included in the course.

On group stays, lessons are complemented by afternoon and evening sports, social and cultural activities suited to participants’ ages and interests. Outings and full-day excursions are also arranged according to the destination programme. Imagine1world selects the excursions for its own groups. For individual courses, check which activities are included and which are optional.

EU citizens can travel to EU countries, including Ireland, with a valid passport or national identity card accepted for international travel. Children also need their own document. The UK has different rules. For other nationalities or connecting journeys, we check official entry requirements before booking.

• Travel documents in the EU

For ordinary short stays, Italian citizens and many other European citizens need a passport and an ETA, unless exempt. This also applies to children. Nationality, immigration status and course type can affect the permission required: check your circumstances on the UK government website.

Use the UK ETA app or GOV.UK with your travel passport. Wait for approval before travelling: a decision can take up to three working days. An ETA lasts two years or until the passport expires, whichever comes first. Check the current fee on the official service before paying.

Italian children under 14 travelling abroad without a parent or guardian need an accompanying declaration naming the accompanying person or transport company. Apply to the Italian Questura in advance. For children of other nationalities, check the rules of the relevant authorities and transport company.

Not always: nationality and course type matter. In the USA, ESTA does not replace a student visa; a tourist visit only allows limited recreational, non-credit study. In Canada, a course under six months may not require a study permit, but entry requirements still apply. Check the appropriate route before booking.

For group packages we arrange scheduled flights, preferably direct where possible, and transfers according to the programme. Inclusions vary by destination and option: always check the destination page and quote, especially for individual stays. Before confirming, check the departure airport, baggage allowance and transfers to and from the overseas airport.

• Destinations

Destinations with published fees show prices, currency, accommodation and available payment plans. For language schools, request a quote stating the destination, dates, duration and course you want. Payment follows the agency’s instructions; the enrolment form does not collect payments. For help, select “Quote request” in the contact form.

Packages that provide these policies include medical and baggage cover. Check the programme and insurance documents supplied by the agency for the cover included: they set out limits, exclusions, excesses and assistance contacts. Not every interruption or change to a trip automatically qualifies for reimbursement.

Optional cancellation insurance is available separately from the included cover. Ask for it when booking and check the cost, purchase deadlines and destination-specific terms with the agency. Before choosing, read the covered causes, exclusions and documents required for a claim. The trip’s cancellation terms remain those stated in the contract.

A group travels with a Group Leader and follows organised dates and activities. An individual stay lets you choose the course, duration and accommodation from the school’s options; you still join an international student community on arrival. Minimum age and required independence depend on the centre. We help you choose according to travel experience and goals.

• Programmes

Yes. We plan the project with teachers according to age, learning goals, duration and budget. The quote can include air, coach or rail travel, accommodation, meals, visits, workshops and admission tickets. Guides and accompanying staff are agreed for each tour, with operational support during the trip. Any free teacher places must be specified in the group quote.

The programme offers residential UK camps for boys and girls aged 9 to 17, with stays of 6 or 13 nights. Students can combine English with sport or choose an intensive sports option. Full board, activities, excursions and round-the-clock staff are provided. Check the chosen camp’s catalogue for sports, eligible ages and availability.

• Programmes

Requirements depend on the sport and option. Programmes combining English and coaching welcome different levels; Total Sport is more intensive and unsuitable for absolute beginners. These camps do not provide for accompanying adults to join the stay: on-site support is supplied by camp staff. Agree travel and transfer arrangements with us before booking.
