International House Dublin

The centre
Founded in 1998, International House Dublin is accredited by TrustEd and Eaquals and is part of the worldwide International House network. It is right in the city centre, a short walk from the main attractions, shops, museums and public transport, and welcomes students from over 50 countries. The first day includes a free orientation tour of the city; after that, a weekly social and cultural programme — conversation club, museums, workshops and day trips around Ireland — lets students practise their English outside the classroom. There is a dedicated student welfare officer and a 24-hour emergency line. Accommodation options are a host family with half board, a premium host family, or a student residence with en-suite rooms (18+).

The language course
General English is open to all levels, from A1 to C1: 16 hours a week in the morning (Monday to Thursday), 20 hours (Monday to Friday), 15 hours in the afternoon, or the 31-hour Super Intensive, in classes of 12 students on average, with weekly progress tests and tutorials. English for Business is available for B2–C1 levels, and from A2 to C1 there are preparation courses for the Cambridge (A2 Key, B1 Preliminary, B2 First, C1 Advanced) and IELTS exams. Group classes can be combined with 5, 10 or 15 hours of private lessons, which can also focus on a professional field. EU students with B1 level or above can add an unpaid internship with a Dublin company, from 1 week. Courses are recognised for Erasmus+ and Bildungsurlaub. The school's catalogue also includes Young Adult (ages 16–19, residential, in July), Young at Heart (50+) and MiniStay for school groups: ask us for details.
